New Recipes — Veggie Quiche and a great POWER SMOOTHIE
Well it is that time of the year. Time to examine your health and eating habits. Hopefully these recipes will help you do that.
Start with breakfast! Try the power green smoothie. A powerful punch of vitamins from the green magma — try it you will LOVE the energy you get!! And a great power punch from the protein powder, I use Amplify protein powder exclusively because it has great taste and is easy to mix.
Or there is our great Veggie Quiche which makes a great dinner.

Colombian Stew and Shephard’s Pie
Brand new recipes — both yummy – one for the crock pot because it is starting to be that time of year. And the shephard’s pie is way way kid friendly. Careful to watch your portions on this one though — it makes 4 servings!! Don’t eat all of them

September Recipe of the Month — Salmon Salad with Grapefruit
Grilled Salmon Salad with Grapefruit
- 4 Salmon Fillets (4 oz each)
- 5 cups baby arugula
- 1/2 cup plus 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1/2 tsp honey
- 2 ruby red grapefruit, segmented, juice reserved
- juice of one lemon
- 1/2 vanilla bean, cut lengthwise
Spray grill with cooking spray, heat on medium-high. Scrape vanilla seeds into bowl, add lemon juice and grapefruit juice, honey, salt, pepper and 1/2 cup of the oil.
Toss arugula with 3/4 of the dressing. Divide among 4 plates.
Grill salmon skin side down for 1 minute, turn. Season with salt and pepper and remaining 1 tbsp oil. Cook until fish is opaque, about 2 minutes.
Top each plate with salmon, remaining dressing and grapefruit.
457 calories per serving, 25 g protein
